Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
Note: The following are meant to be representative but not necessarily all inclusive of the duties and responsibilities for this position title.
Maintains adherence to production, test, and quality system procedures. Retrieves procedures from corporate database
Utilizes both manual and automated tests to perform board, and system level testing to ensure product quality and reliability in accordance with company requirements
Integrates, tests, and troubleshoots LASER/RF medical electro/mechanical system/hand piece devices
Performs rework and repair with strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
Installs and configures component and system software
Meets established production goals
Follows all relevant regulations, SOPs, and work instructions
Dedicated to quality and continuous improvement
Thorough understanding of GMP practices; accurate record keeping in regard to area of responsibility
Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Works closely with Assemblers, Manufacturing Engineers, and R&D Engineers in defining and documenting test procedures
Acts as primary test and troubleshooting trainer for production direct labor
Supports and participates in committing an audit ready and safety production environment
Processes defective material no later than the next business day.
Performs production equipment preventative maintenance.
Employee is expected to report to work on time in their assigned schedule. A flexible schedule is required when it is necessary to meet the production schedule.
Performs 5S activities, as required
Experience, Education, Training, Traits:
Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent
Minimum of two years hands on experience testing and troubleshooting analog and digital electronics at the component, PCB, and system level, preferably in a medical device, quality regulated environment.
Good English skills with effective verbal, writing and reading abilities.
Experienced working in an ESD type environment
Basic computer skills
Language and Verbal Skills
The ability to communicate proficiently in English verbally and in writing is required as well as being able to understand and follow complex work instructions in writing or when conveyed verbally.
Basic math skills, plus ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Analytical and Reading Skills
Ability to read, interpret and follow company procedures, work instructions and engineering drawings and sketches. Ability to identify problems and deviations from prescribed specifications and requirements.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform light material handling tasks involving lifting weights of up to 35 pounds for short durations. This position will involve sitting for extended periods of time, up to and sometimes beyond 8 hours a day. Duties also may involve keyboard data entry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and utilization of microscopes and other vision aids.
Most work will be performed in a light-manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
