SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Production Planner will work closely with the operations team to ensure timely execution of customer satellite hardware. This role will coordinate the hardware schedule and timeline delivery and report out on operational metrics. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *Support both the Satellite Components and Payload programs in hardware planning. *Schedule and plan usage of production material to ensure optimal production output and delivery. *Evaluate suppliers on quality, timeliness, and metrics according to supply chain goals. *Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage. *Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory. *Manage material release and kit procedures. *Manage material MBOM updates and coordinate with purchasing on delivery timelines. *Forecast material issues through market challenges based on analysis and market trends. *Produce reports based on findings and performance of production. *Manage deadlines based on project expectations. *Manage the master schedule of the production deliverables. *Work with business development and engineering to forecast hardware availability. *Manage MRP planning and assist in establishing training and documentation to support usage. QUALIFICATIONS: Required *Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related degrees. Will also consider work experience in lieu of degree. *1 to 4 years of professional experience managing data and developing reports. *1 to 4 years manufacturing experience with High Mix- Low volume product lines. *Comfortable and proficient using Microsoft suite products. *Experience with project management and planning. Preferred *Experience developing manufacturing operations metrics. *Experience with various manufacturing process developments, facility and line layouts, process failure mode effects analysis, and error proofing. *Experience working in the aerospace industry. *APICS, CPIM, or CSCP certifications.
