Summary:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician II, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing processes and operations within our organization. This position involves collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. Your expertise in troubleshooting, process improvement, and technical support will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Technical Support:
Provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams, addressing issues related to equipment, processes, and production lines.
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
Collaborate with engineers to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.
Process Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, efficiency, and product quality.
Identify opportunities for optimizing workflows, reducing waste, and increasing overall productivity.
Implement process changes and evaluate their impact on production metrics.
Equipment Maintenance and Calibration:
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to manufacturing processes, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, equipment uptime, and quality metrics.
Training and Documentation:
Train manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, troubleshooting guides, and equipment manuals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and production, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Participate in design reviews, providing valuable input based on practical manufacturing knowledge.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and/or combination of work history and education
2-4 year’s experience and/or training in safe work environments, union work environments, capital improvement, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Computer assisted design (CAD) proficiency.
Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time.

Salary and Benefits:
$20.00/hr. - $28.00/hr. depending on experience
