Philips Product Industrialization Engineer in Bothell, Washington

In this role you have the opportunity to

  • Take charge of the development and improvement of processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production and supply chain processes. Pitcher of new product industrialization projects towards suppliers and contract manufacturers

  • Review, escalate and deploy the product changes from/to suppliers including material, equipment, process, end of life. Etc.

  • Evaluate (new) Supply Chain concepts and designs for new or existing value streams, in line with Business strategy. Scope is upstream as well as downstream Supply Chain.

  • Contribute to the deployment of tactical, financial and operational plans by driving continuous improvement in supply chain performance through Supply Chain analysis and process improvements.

Your role:

  • Initiate and oversee process technology development activities in the context of New Product Generation as well as product and solution technology roadmap.

  • Ensure adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications and release

  • Responsible for Manufacturing input in Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) process focusing on DfMAT,

  • Initiate and execute Capex optimization for initial investments

  • Is accountable for process and Manufacturing Requirements based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements from I&D

  • Is accountable for the process and equipment capability that meets these Requirements

  • Orchestrate design for lean manufacturing with according inputs to PDLM workflows.

  • Responsible for design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers and their implementation

  • Is accountable for MF BOM and routing Master data until release to shipment and for PDLM ruled changes

  • Is accountable for establishing Inspection and Test Criteria for Philips owned components and assemblies

  • Applies lean manufacturing principles

  • Employ equipment, practices, and procedures which promote a healthy, safe, and secure work environment

  • Execute the processes and standards with embedded quality into the way of working including adherence to compliance with safety, Cost regulatory- and environmental requirements as well as local laws , Philips General Business principles and other policies

  • Applies advanced analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, data mining and statistics to design, implement, validate, and refine mathematical models and algorithms to understand, evaluate and optimize supply chain

  • Drives process improvements and hands over sustainable solutions to the responsible organization, embedded into their standard work

  • Applies advanced understanding of systems, master data, and data architecture to pull data from numerous tables and from multiple sources to be merged and analyzed

You're the right fit if:

  • BS Engineering discipline or technical field, major in Elec-mechanical, electronical, Industrial, or mechanical engineering education is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, manufacturing engineering related functions, open to candidate from Quality, RD, Project management If they have strong engineering background

  • General understanding of product development process and design control is preferred/required

  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment at remote locations

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required

  • Methodical, effective troubleshooting/problem solving skills required

  • Experience IQ, OQ, PQ Validation Strategies preferred

  • Experience with notified bodies(China NMPA/ USA FDA) regulated medical device manufacturing in a Lean production environment preferred

  • Understanding a supply chain fundamentals that include supply chain design

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $92,000,000 to $142,000, Annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
