Banner Bank Internal Fraud & Investigations Analyst in Bothell, Washington

As the Internal Fraud & Investigations Analyst you will participate in moderate to highly complex investigations across many lines of business. The role will investigate complex internal fraud schemes and provide subject matter expertise on Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR). The role will also function in a backup capacity for case and SAR approvals. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Provide detailed and specific knowledge and advice regarding the application of internal fraud prevention and controls. Perform analysis and assessment of medium to complex datasets. Perform risk management activities within a project of medium size and complexity. Identify internal fraud risks and vulnerabilities, assessing impact and probability, and developing mitigation strategies. Analyze and report on test activities, results, issues and fraud risks, including the work of others. Perform assessments of existing fraud controls Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations. Education & Certifications Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science or other related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) CFE, CAMS, and/or CFI preferred Experience 4 or more years of banking operations and/or fraud detection experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to display a high standard of professionalism when speaking to internal and external customers. Possess advanced knowledge and understanding of banking operations and internal fraud detection/prevention. Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment while ensuring attention to details. Possess strong analytical skills and decision- making abilities. Knowledge of department policies and procedures. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to banking operations and fraud investigation.
