Job Description

Job Summary:

A client of Insight Global is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician for their client site in Bothell, WA. The ideal candidate will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a variety of HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal operation and safety. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment

Ensure optimal operation of mechanical systems through routine inspections and maintenance

Identify and correct safety-related issues and potential equipment failures

Operate, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment (ventilation, pumps, fans, chillers, AHUs, split systems, compressors, refrigeration)

Use the building automation system to track building conditions and equipment operation

Recharge refrigerant levels, check for leaks, and ensure proper refrigerant cycle function

Utilize mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled from CMMS

Respond to and provide service and feedback on work orders, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards

Follow proper safety guidelines (job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, PPE) & comply with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

Operate measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments for energy efficiency solutions

Maintain a strict schedule to ensure assignment success

Work in a team environment with a friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional attitude

Balance workload and prioritize assignments, taking initiative to resolve issues independently

Communicate clearly via phone and work closely with customers during site emergencies

Accurately document information in electronic and paper cataloging systems

Strive for quick complaint resolution and avoid escalation of issues

Skills and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

  EPA Universal Refrigeration License

  5+ years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial/commercial environments (or equivalent education/experience)

  Fluency in computer use (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint)

  Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform repetitive motions

  Ability to differentiate wire color-coding

  Ability to wear PPE, including steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats

  Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills Technical degree

  Experience in GMP or similar regulated environments (hospitals, biomedical, pharmaceutical)

  Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams

  Experience with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems

  Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus null
