Human Resources Operations Director Department: Human Resources Location: Bothell, WA Human Resources Director POSITION DESCRIPTION Serves as a strategic business partner to the organization by providing consultative support on people strategies, organization design and development, total rewards, human resources, and business initiatives to position the company as an Employer of Choice and ensure support of the organization in the achievement of short and long-term goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Direct all people functions of the corporation in accordance with policies and practices of the company, the ethical and social consciences of business, and the laws and regulations of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities * Maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning and implementing pay structure revisions based on market salary trends; manages external pay scale vendors; assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of organization wage and salary program * Oversee the effective implementation of the performance review processes to promote and improve employee effectiveness and ensure employees and managers work together to plan, monitor, and review work objectives and goals * Ensures planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors, as needed * Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records * Maintains management guidelines by routinely preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policy and procedures; annually review and make recommendations to executive management for improvement of organization's policies, practices, and procedures * Maintains historical human resources records by designing a filing and retrieval system, tracking all relevant past and current records * Directing and planning operations related to group benefits programs, which may include health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, and 401(k) plan * Actively identifies and develops talent to foster career progression; coaches and cultivates employees and managers * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies * Conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes as needed and identifying relevant trends * Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department in related to established goals; recommends new approaches and policies to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed * Determines relevant metrics in which to report to senior leadership that impact the organization's goals and strategies; maintains a data-centric focus Takes a leadership role as a change agent identifying opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, assessing the need for change, developing proposals on change initiatives and implementing and communicating change; focuses on the streamlining of processes to create efficiencies JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor degree in Human Resource related field; Master's degree is a plus * Minimum of 8-12 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in
