Put your passion to work at Seagen and join us!Summary:The Director, Pipeline Communications will be responsible for developing and implementing Seagen's global pipeline communications strategy to reinforce the Company's narrative and leading position in cancer therapy research and development. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Corporate Communications.The Director, Pipeline Communications will develop and execute strategic pipeline communications plans through traditional channels and social media for internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator with strong written and verbal communications skills and will possess an in-depth understanding of scientific research and development. The Director, Pipeline Communications must be a team player with experience collaborating with a dynamic communications team, research teams, clinical development, marketing, and other key constituents within the context of a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company with a robust pipeline.Responsibilities:Develop and lead strategic pipeline public relations plans to effectively communicate the Company's early to late-stage therapeutic candidates in line with business goals and our Corporate and R&D Narrative. Leverage existing external communication channels and/or embrace new channels to reach target audiencesProactively ensure news flow that highlights Seagen's R&D narrative internally and externally and protects and enhances the company's reputation among its constituentsManage ongoing execution of communications activities for Seagen's research and development-stage programs, including support of data announcements at medical congresses, regulatory milestones, and other communicationsLead the development of core communications materials, including compelling message platforms, pipeline narrative and additional materials supporting effective communications across a range of external and internal audiencesSupport accurate and well-coordinated scientific exchange with all key healthcare, business, and trade reportersCollaborate effectively and serve as strategic communications partner to team members, including research, development, clinical, regulatory, medical affairs and commercialCollaborate with communications team members at partner companies, as neededEvaluate results through measurable objectives and indicators designed to demonstrate value; adapt communications strategies as appropriateManage PR agency relationship(s) and ensure activities are completed on budget and on timeProvide innovative and proactive ideas and recommendations for improvement on a regular basisWork collaboratively with internal communications to ensure messages are consistent, engaging and foster an aligned and excited teamQualifications and Experience:Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical communications, with at least 10
