Data Delivery Team Leader (Nashville, TN)

Using your strong expertise in data engineering and leading data delivery teams, your role will help create and maintain the core foundation of operations and marketing-related data from which North American Analytics solutions and niche applications will be built. Here are the details of your role:

Your role:

  • Lead data engineers that are part of a product team consisting of business intelligence developers, applications developers, product owners and stakeholder success leaders to understand the needs for data, create effective data workflows and assist to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Lead and act as an architect to design, develop, and implement data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform Azure Synapse, SQL Data Warehouse or MS SQL Server in the support of analytical solutions and applications.

  • Create and maintain data pipelines via Azure Data Factory, SSIS and Azure Databricks.

  • Provide guidance and input on DevOps and CI/CD approaches for delivery within the AIA team.

  • Ensure the quality, integrity, and reliability of data in use by analytical solutions and applications.

  • Ensure security is integrated into the architecture and design of applications and analytical solutions.

  • Monitor and optimize data solutions to ensure performance and efficiency.

  • Actively participate with other leaders on strategic initiatives around data governance, master data management and global analytical and automation solutions.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Azure data services and technologies.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

  • 3+ years leading data engineering functions with spans of control 5+ individuals with offshore components of the team

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with Azure

  • Strong knowledge of Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Server

  • Experience with data processing languages such as SQL, Python, and Scala

  • Experience with agile methodologies on Azure DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)

  • Experience with data modeling and database design

  • Experience with cloud computing concepts and technologies

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience in Healthcare or Medical Technology Sectors, preferred

  • Experience with Azure AI services, preferred

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark, preferred

  • Experience with data governance and security best practices, preferred

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, preferred
