Aston Carter CORPORATE CONTROLLER in Bothell, Washington


• Responsible for all accounting activities, including external reporting, audit, tax, statutory reporting, internal transfer pricing and foreign operations

• Lead audit process, including interfacing with auditors in a timely and effective manner for audit completion

• Implement internal controls and maintain internal control environment to ensure compliance with SOX and corporate policies and procedures for general accounting operations

• Develop, maintain, and enforce technical accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP

• Directly monitor key contracts to determine appropriate GAAP treatment, engaging business owners to ensure alignment and optimal terms prior to signing

• Advise on accounting impact of financing activities such as stock compensation, contract negotiation, and M&A activity

• Maintain capitalization table and oversee all equity plan transactions including Employee Stock Incentive program to ensure activities are correctly processed in a timely manner and taxes are properly withheld and reported

• Provide schedules to the Company’s third-party tax consultants and internal parties in preparing the Company’s income tax returns, tax provision for financial statement purposes and tax disclosures in SEC filings

• Perform period end reviews to ensure accurate and complete financial records

• Review payroll ensuring timely processing, including stock compensation processing

• Assist with new ERP and other business software implementations

• Build relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration both inside and outside of finance and accounting

• Manage, mentor, and develop a high performing, professional team

• Continue to improve and develop policies and procedures

• Participate in or lead ad hoc projects, as needed


Accounting, General ledger, Financial reporting, Month end, Financial statement, US GAAP, Audit, Cost accounting, Forecasting, Budgeting, SOX, Internal control, ERP systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

o 3+ years as a public company Controller

o Qualified CPA

o Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory costing

o Proficient with Microsoft Office – Advanced Excel user

o Internal control, 404(b) experience

o Experience with Stock Compensation and Equity Management

o Experience working in a manufacturing industry
