Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, we have key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. Delivering significant sales and profitability growth, we will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk.Key responsibilitiesPosition Description:Lead a crew in the loading/unloading of freight using specified equipment by company provided means and standards.Essential Duties/Responsibilities* Report to supervisor for job and crew assignment* Utilize written and verbal instructions and previously established guidelines to complete assigned responsibilities.* Do daily forklift and RF (Radio Frequency) Unit inspection and report to supervisor* Maintain safety rules at all times* Maintain a clean and organized work area* Ability to perform material handling duties such a lifting material weighing 25- 75 pounds* Complete all necessary paperwork on-time, accurately and according to guidelinesWe are looking forMinimum Qualifications* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; not required* One year forklift driving experience with valid and up-to-date forklift driver certification* Able to speak, read and write English* Basic math skills* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Ability to perform well with time-sensitive tasks; multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment* Regular attendance and punctuality* Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends is required* Overtime may be required* Ability to lift material weighing 50 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 75 poundsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by law.
