Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Manages staff performing multiple functions inclusive of quality auditing, quality management system, government property management and continuous improvement. Develops and implements operational plans aligned to department objectives to meet business, technical, and customer requirements, inclusive of forecasting and obtaining the necessary personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools. Monitors plans\' execution (budget/cost, schedule, and technical performance), makes appropriate adjustments in accordance with risks and opportunities, resolves issues and monitors metrics. Ensures conformity to established company and regulatory standards. Provides technical direction and approves technical approaches, products and processes. Manages staff to elicit high performance, provide professional development, acquire and retain talent. Liaisons with other departments and service organizations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Leadership ability Experience in quality auditing, SCAR, CAPA Experience with GD&T, GMP, MSA, GR&R, SPC, D/P FMEA, FAI review Problem solving and analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and present persuasive solutions Technical aptitude for learning new computer applications and for working in a highly technical environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Experience with process development, implementation, and documentation Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; works effectively and cooperatively with others and establishes and maintains good working relationships Strong communication skills - oral, written and verbal Preferred: Experienced with ISO 9001:2015. AS9100D, IATF 16949 Experience with supplier management, supplier qualification and approval, communicating with suppliers on quality issues Experience as Supplier Quality Manager or leading Supplier Quality Engineering team Experience with Project Management Knowledge of Lean principles, processes and tools Experience deploying process and tool improvements or changes Education & Experience (preferred) Preferred: Bachelor\'s degree. Degree in science/STEM, engineering is a plus. Preferred: 7+ years of quality, manufacturing, or engineering management experience bachelor\'s degree, or 5+ years with a Master\'s degree.
