Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham is hiring a Production Manager for a well-established manufacturing company. This company offers a tenured team, good internal work culture, and work-life balance. 

 

Pay: $75,000-$80,000 DOE

Shift: Monday-Friday, Hours to Be Determined, Overtime Offered 

Location: Whatcom County

Position Type: Direct Hire

 

What you get to do:

-Overseeing production processes.

-Maintain efficient productivity levels.

-Ensure the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving coordination.

-Ensures schedule execution to meet production and shipping plans.

-Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and work-in-process documents.

-Perform real-time tracking of manufacturing outputs against schedules and budgets; provide management reports, accordingly.

-Ensure adequate cross training of staff to foster improved workforce experience, assist with schedule management and to prevent key person dependencies.

-Control costs to achieve company and job goals.

-Plan and direct workflow and workforce utilization as well as participating in the procurement of raw materials, supplies, and other production needs.

-Planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.

-Assist with the job quoting process and routing/methodization of jobs.

-Enforce & practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.

-Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.

-Remain in compliance with aerospace quality certifications and standards (AS9100, etc.), as well as all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

-Leading safety training and weekly meetings

-Lead customers experience strategy to establish and maintain premier customer service.

-Oversee monthly inventory counts on raw materials & finished goods ensuring inventory accuracy.

-Work beyond normal work hours when necessary.

-Lead by example through honesty, integrity, and respect for others.

-Performing any other duties assigned by the General Manager.

-Hiring, training, and development of machinists, programmers, assemblers, maintenance, and shipping/receiving associates.

-Have effective and frequent communication with staff and other departments to ensure that all production goals and metrics are known and met.

-Manage personnel performance to job requirements and effectively define and communicate company and department expectations to staff.

-Resolve employee grievances and concerns. Maintain adherence to company policy.

-Interview and evaluate prospective employees and oversee staff training.

 

Education and/or Experience:

-Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of operations leadership experience within the manufacturing industry (aerospace a plus).

-Financial acumen and budgeting skills with the ability to work in a cost-effective manner.

-Ability to review and discuss results of production reports and P&L statements.

-Strong working knowledge of OSHA and safety procedures

-Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.

-Ability to motivate employees to produce quality work and create a positive culture.

-Persuasive communication and organizational skills.

-Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

-Ability to train and instruct employees.

-Ability to have candid conversations and coach teams.
