Summary:

This role is primarily loading, unloading, and delivering solar material to customer job sites via flat bed or box trucks. This role also provides the opportunity to assist with inside sales. Someone who would thrive in this role has great customer service and works well on a small team. The ideal candidate possesses stellar communication skills, is detail-oriented, has a positive “can-do” attitude, and thrives in a fast paced, multi-faceted industry.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to drive a commercial motor vehicle (non-CDL)

• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and have an acceptable driving record

• Ability to manually lift heavy boxes (50+ lbs.) of stock from shelves in warehouse, including lifting overhead, stooping down, and climbing ladders

• Ability to load and unload trucks from ground level or platform

• Ability to safely operate materials handling equipment including pallet jacks, etc.

• Positive, can-do attitude, ability to multi-task well and be proactive

• Ability to work and communicate very well in a high-paced environment

• Authorized to work in the United States (without requiring employer sponsorship)

Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift Certification (nice to have but not required)

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Deliveries in all weather conditions including during extreme hot/cold, rain and other seasonal conditions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Drive flatbed or box truck to job sites mostly in and around Bellingham

• Deliver or pick up merchandise from customers in a professional manner

• Proactively communicate with customers on estimated time of arrival or delays

• Load and unload solar material from ground level or platform

• Make sure Proof of Delivery is captured at every delivery

• Advise the Warehouse Manager of any issues or returns from a delivery

• Provide exceptional customer service to solar clients

• Assist in pulling and checking orders as needed

• Maintain current customer satisfaction with service and sales and generate new sales/business thru sales initiatives and goals.

• Provide professional services with product knowledge, problem solving, and order enhancement.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $19 to $20 hourly.
