PeaceHealth Hospice in Bellingham, WA is seeking an Acupuncturist for a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $30.22 – $45.32. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Job Summary

Provides individualized, safe and efficient care to patients working within the scope of practice as an Acupuncturist. Assesses symptom for appropriateness of acupuncture, administer treatment, and evaluate response. Works collaboratively with all other healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization.

Details of position:

  • Assess patients who may benefit from application of evidence-based acupuncture.

  • Provide or arrange appropriate interventions consistent with hospice policy, physician orders and the interdisciplinary plan of care.

  • Administer acupuncture when ordered by a physician to alleviate symptoms and distress in the final stages of life.

  • Accurately assess and communicate patient/family progress and needs to others involved in care.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

Education

  • Accredited Program Required: National Certification Council for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)

  • Preferred: Experience in end-of-life care

  • Required : Drivers License and reliable transportation plus proof of auto insurance and

  • Required : Acupuncture licensure in the state of Washington

  • Required : Basic Life Support issued through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
