If you have a passion for helping others, then look no further, we would love to have you join the Avamere Family.Responsibilities:Set up, implement, and clean up resident group and individual activitiesCoordinate with other departments as necessary and in conjunction with resident care plansEnsure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident's response to the servicePerform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, report, etc., and submitting such to the Activity Director as requiredSupervise scheduled resident smoking breaks outdoors to ensure the safety of residentsDistribute smoking materials belonging to each residentEnsure residents do not leave the smoking area with cigarettes or lighters in their possessionReport any risks and consequences while smoking to nursing personnel immediatelyQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid Class C driver's licenseAble to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAble to self-direct, switch directions, and complete tasks despite frequent interruptionsAble to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionAble to sit, stand, and walk frequently throughout the work dayPossess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as being willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioningPlease Note: Effective Oct. 18, 2021, all Avamere employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical or religious exception.
