Perform accounting functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely general ledger period-end close
Prepare monthly recurring and ad-hoc journal entries
Review and analyze general ledger account and financial statement line item variances
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Evaluate a variety of grant funding sources for proper accounting treatment
Consult with various internal and external stakeholders to identify process issues and develop solutions related to the period-end
Assist with the implementation of Workday ERP
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum of two years of corporate or public accounting experience is preferred
Understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
Intermediate Excel skills required, including pivot tables and v-look ups
Knowledge of Smartsheet preferred
Experience with Workday ERP preferred
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to think critically and make recommendations
