Workforce Education Program Advisor Job ID: 13845 Location: Bellevue College Full/Part Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Position Summary The Workforce Program Advisor works within the Workforce Education Office, which includes WorkFirst, Worker Retraining, Basic Food Employment & Training (BFET), Opportunity Grant. The Workforce Education Office and this position support the mission of Bellevue College by providing high quality, flexible and accessible services that support student access to educational opportunities that advance pluralism, inclusion, and global awareness. This position works under general direction and reports to the Associate Director of Workforce Education (WE). The Workforce Program Advisor will manage a caseload of WE students and independently collaborates with students and other WE staff to provide student support and education navigation for students participating in the various workforce programs. Duties include providing technical assistance with application processes, assessing student needs, academic advising, including the development and monitoring of an education/training plan, monitoring student academic progress, navigating the college, finding available support resources at the college and within the local community, finding resolution to complex problems, and identifying and helping students overcome barriers to success. Additionally, this position analyzes data to determine student eligibility for financial aid awards and WE program participation, tracks other criteria to determine continued eligibility for participation, and processes payments. An expectation of this position is to track state and federal legislation and participate in coordinating adjustments when program rules change. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Position Salary Range: $67,669/year - $94,737/year The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations.
