Join a team that is focused on using valuation models to support various areas in finance through forecasting, data analytics, and performing ad hoc analysis for various teams across the organization. The team works closely with accounting, marketing, FP&A, treasury, corporate development, and other groups across the organization to provide valuation insights driving business decisions and for financial reporting. The Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining valuation models, tracking changes in value over time, providing insight to leadership with their findings, and coordinating with various cross functional teams. Essential Functions Work with the members of the team to develop models enabling the team to value business, intangible assets, derivative, loans, swaps, warrants, and spectrum. Develop data supported models used to forecast expected cash flows for customer relationships, device loans, businesses, derivatives, and other contracts. Estimate the values of customer options and rights over time using data supported valuation models. Work closing with corporate development, strategy, accounting policy, tax, and other key groups through due diligence phases of acquisitions to better understand the impacts of a transaction. Work through recent developments at T-Mobile and within the industry to provide analysis and support to senior leadership. Thorough understanding of finance and accounting principles including ASC 820 Fair Value measurement, IFRS 13 Fair Value Measurement, and the impacts of fair value estimates on the financial statements. Utilize analytical and modeling capability to perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to enhance decision making across a range of options and present findings and recommendations for prioritization of resources to all levels of the organization. Work internally and with strategic partners to ensure processes and procedures are in place for proper accounting controls and audits to support the team's improvement and successful implementation of financial modeling under a SOX controlled environment. Work on a highly collaborative team providing peer review, collaborative support, and training for junior members of the team. Qualifications Minimum Required 7-10 years in valuation, finance, commercial banking, data analytics or a related analytical field A deep knowledge of key valuation concepts, specifically, fixed income, business enterprise valuations, intangible asset valuations, and/or derivatives Advanced proficiency in MS Excel Experience with forecasting and analyzing cash flows to a business Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Previous valuation experience or financial modeling experience in professional services firms Proficiency in data mining and analytics software (SQL, SAS, Python, and/or R) Experience using large loan data sets to isolate trends and forecast loan losses and payments Experience with put and call option valuation using Black-Scholes models, binomial lattice models and stochastic approaches Experience with financial due diligence and other parts of the deal close process Experience with ASC 460 Guaranteed Liability and/or ASC 606 Material Right Estimates Experience with ASC 350 Goodwill Impairment Testing Experience with ASC 805 Purchase Price Allocations Experience with ASC 815 Hedge Accounting Experience valuin
