Transportation Engineers (Licensed), HDR Engineering, Inc., 929 108TH Avenue NE, Suite 1300, Bellevue, WA 98004: Work under general supervision of a more senior engineer you perform the following duties: Job duties: Work as a key member of a roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects; Prepare or oversee the following roadway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical roadway alignments, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determinations, roadway drainage including hydraulic reports, and right-of-way plans; Prepare and oversee the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, specifications and estimates: roadway sections, alignment/right-of-way plans, temporary erosion control plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, and traffic control plans; Assist in the management of larger projects or manage smaller projects as a Deputy Project Manager or Design Manager; Prepare scopes, budgets and schedules in tandem with the Project Manager; and Manage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants, keep project on schedule and within budget, and keep client satisfied. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week. Regional travel may be required as needed (occasional site visits within the state of Washington). Basic annual salary range is one hundred thirteen thousand five hundred sixty-eight dollars to one hundred twenty thousand two hundred ninety dollars. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent degrees are accepted) in civil engineering or a closely related field, 3 years of experience in any related occupation working on transportation/traffic engineering design. Must possess a Professional Engineer license from any US jurisdiction. The expected compensation range for this position is $113,568 - $120,290 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
