The ASK Developer Tools team is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help us in our mission to make developers focus on creating magical experiences and making their life easier through SDK, CLI and visual tools. As a Sr. TPM, you will own the strategy for the prompt engineering and evaluation space. You will work on projects that enable developer to provide instructions to the LLM in an efficient manner that drives consistent experiences. 
In your role, you will provide a safe and efficient way to update prompts at scale for Alexa developers.
In your role, you will devise the short term program plans and long term strategy for 1st and 3rd party software developers across the Alexa community. 


Key job responsibilities

As a TPM, you will be a mission-critical member of the leadership team, unify distributed engineering efforts and own the plan to deliver high-profile new tools and features for developers that build on Alexa. You will lead strategic initiatives across many teams that will provide developers with high-impact improvements.
You will draw on your knowledge of software development to hold a high standard of excellence for the developer experience.
 you will drive technical requirements, design, and delivery planning, working across engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure successful launch of initiatives. You will enable transparency and decision-making across leadership by providing critical communication and clear status of the initiatives you own.
You will apply your expertise, problem solving skills, and creativity to add value and diversity of thought to our team.


The Senior TPM role requires excellent leadership skills, strong technical expertise and hands-on project management skills. The right candidate will be adept at writing technical specifications, owning program schedules from design to release, and partnering effectively with other teams across Alexa.



Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
