When a human looks at a picture of an item, they can easily identify what the item is, if it is correct, or if it is damaged. Our team works on computer vision/machine learning solutions to do this automatically. We design develop and deploy large-scale systems to worldwide fulfillment operations. Our vision is to teach our systems to do what comes naturally to humans - identify items, describe them, and make fast, informed choices.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will lead and coordinate to deployment of large scale systems to a variety of operational sites. You will manage internal and external stakeholders across engineering, supply chain, ergonomics, safety, installation, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and IT. You will be well-versed in all aspects of the systems you are responsible for, acting as a technical subject matter expert in support of cross-team collaboration efforts. You will track and report to the executive audiences. As a Sr TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop plans, schedules and documentation to satisfy complex integration requirements and deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

About the team
Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers Amazon’s global fulfillment network. We invent and deliver software, hardware, and data science solutions that orchestrate processes, robots, machines, and people. We harmonize the physical and virtual world so Amazon customers can get what they want, when they want it.
Quality -
AFT’s Quality team drives automation programs that leverage computer vision, machine learning, and other innovative technologies to prevent, detect, and correct potential inventory issues impacting fulfillment efficiency and customer satisfaction.
AFT Quality Hardware team builds computer vision/machine learning systems that collect and process image and sensor data to make decisions impacting correct fulfillment.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
3+ years software or hardware system design experience
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
Experience with industrial machine vision camera/sensors and applications
Experience with Linux and scripting
Fluency with Windows OS including automatic processes
Ability to influence without direct supervision

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
