Job Information
Amazon Tech Business Development Manager III, Amazon Inbound Transportation in Bellevue, Washington
Description
Amazon Inbound Transportation (AIT) is responsible for optimizing cost-effective flow throughout Amazon’s inbound network while providing Amazon with greater control, performance, and inbound visibility. The Business Operations team within AIT is responsible for pricing, cost, growth, and profitability of the inbound business.
AIT BizOps is looking for a Tech Business Development Manager III to dive deep into our largest inbound business — PCP — and put together a plan to drive even more growth. The ideal candidate will be both data-driven and analytical, with a strong passion for negotiation and business development. This dual role requires diagnosing and entitling growth levers, prioritizing them based on their economic and business impact, and implementing them. Key responsibilities include envisioning a grand product strategy while delivering tangible results incrementally, thriving in an entrepreneurial environment, unfazed by ambiguity or competing priorities, and pivoting between strategic analysis and hands-on seller negotiations. The role also involves collaborating with shipper-facing teams and creating proof of concepts that will ultimately become products and solve customer problems. Additionally, this role will be critical in providing feedback on the needs of sellers, fostering partnerships with other seller-facing organizations, and analyzing and defining the size of the problem in three areas: 3PLs (Third-Party Logistics) that cannot use our services, sellers with better contract rates, and shippers with soft operational issues. Creating scrappy solutions to move the needle is a must. Utilizing data and analytics to drive decision-making, identify opportunities, and measure the impact of initiatives is essential.
