As a Strategic Supply Chain Manager with a Network Capacity Background, you'll take end-to-end ownership of operations, emphasizing capacity planning, logistics optimization, network design, and analysis of operational efficiency.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and more. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement scalable systems, and drive automation to enhance efficiency, with a particular focus on optimizing the physical flow and operations within the supply chain network. Whether you're managing network capacity initiatives, overseeing cross-functional programs, or focusing on strategic projects, your impact will be visible, ongoing, and contribute directly to our commitment to being the most customer-centric company on earth.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead strategic initiatives end-to-end related to optimizing supply chain network for faster speed at lowest cost to customers within Amazon's various existing and emerging business units.
• Own a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives related to network design, capacity, operations, driving performance improvement and efficiency in project delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different functions including Science, Analytics, Planning and Operations, influencing and facilitating agreements to achieve shared network efficiency goals.
• Analyze and synthesize data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency in network capacity.
• Define metrics, develop program management mechanisms, and invent/simplify processes to drive decision-making in complex network design and capacity situations.
• Consult partner teams in various speed and capacity initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement to delivery speeds while adhering to lean philosophy at scale.

Conceptualizing project idea for speed. Collaborate with stakeholders across network design, middle mile and last-mile operations to determine business feasibility.
About the team
AMZL Speed team is invested in improving 1-Day Speed for the customers served by AMZL network. We focus on optimizing 1P network design, capacities and operation cycles to enable later order cutoff.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related fields.
2+ years of program or project management experience, with a focus on network capacity.
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in network capacity processes.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables at minimum) and familiarity of SQL.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or MBA in relevant fields.
Specific experience in driving process improvements in network capacity.
Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
