We'll give you hands-on projects and the chance to create an immediate impact. What It's Like The team manages the enterprise observability log management platforms Splunk and OpenSearch. We process real-time machine data in streams and batches, allowing for deep data insights, analytics, and machine learning, as well as visibility into applications, network elements, and services. Every day, we process and store Petabytes of data in our systems. What You'll Do The intern will work on an end-to-end project to process real-time data from source systems and integrate it into one of the platforms. During processing, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data enrichment and transformation are required. The data will be analyzed and anomalies detected to provide data analytics. The intern will create visualizations that explain the data story and can be utilized for real-time monitoring. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis: Analyze machine data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues, providing insights for system improvements. Create Dashboards and Visualization: Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide insights into applications system performance and health Automate Data Processing: Automate the collection, processing, and analysis of log data to improve efficiency. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with teams to ensure comprehensive observability coverage. Support Data Analytics Projects: Assist in data analytics projects, leveraging big data tools and techniques to derive actionable insights. Explore Machine Learning Models: Develop and implement machine learning models for anomaly detection to identify outliers and unusual patterns in machine data. What It Takes Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java) Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Understanding of machine learning algorithms, and techniques for anomaly detection. Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.
