This is your time to shine. As a member of the Salesforce, Integration Cloud (MuleSoft) Team, our Quality Engineering interns will use agile methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead customer engagements that result in automated tests and input. As a critical thinker with a natural curiosity to learn our customers’ business, you will use your analytical skills to extract user scenarios from conversations and data. You will be responsible for constantly finding opportunities to share information and collaborate with others for the benefit of our customers, partners, and each other. With such a quick turnaround, we don’t want our interns to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the view— we want you to change the way our customers connect their business to the world!

As a Futureforce intern at MuleSoft (a Salesforce company), you will not only get to contribute to the meaningful work our teams are doing, but you will also have the opportunity to interact with senior executives and network with a number of employees at Salesforce. In addition to these impactful opportunities, ensuring that you get to participate in a number of events outside of your day-to-day duties is something that is top of mind for us. Throughout the summer, you will get to attend reoccurring “Lunch and Learns” where you will hear from a number of different representatives from the business about their career paths, attend events that take place outside of the office such as local Baseball games and finally, you will have the opportunity to give back to the community through a number of organized volunteer events. At Salesforce, we care deeply about the work that you do as an intern and additionally want to ensure that you are provided ample opportunities to create meaningful connections with other Salesforce employees as well as other students from across the country during your summer in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with team members to build a solid automation tech foundation that will guide engineering teams to build, implement, and monitor various different types of tests across the testing pyramid

  • Help design and deliver automation and automation framework for products with a quality approach across the organization

  • Work with team members to provide oversight through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within their scrum team.

  • Participate in a Test Design Review Board for integration test plans within and across clouds with a focus on functional, business, complex scenarios, high impact projects, usability, and accessibility

  • Help create end-to-end, cross cloud-impacting, integration automation (API and UI) with complex orgs

Required Skills:

  • Enrolled and working towards obtaining a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field. Please note that in order to be eligible for an internship, we require that you be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree

  • Must be attending a University in North America

  • Academic or professional/internship experience working in a professional coding setting is a plus

  • Experience in software engineering, quality engineering, usability, or business analysis.

  • Experience with design and development automation frameworks in a microservices environment

  • Grasp of Object-Oriented Programming

Desired Skills:

  • Team-player with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with others

  • Proficient in Javascript and Java

  • Familiar with industry quality & usability practices

  • Proficient in writing functional automation (UI/API)

  • Self-motivator, who can work independently, able to learn quickly, meets deadlines, and demonstrates problem-solving skills.

  • Effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner and ability to coordinate cross-team efforts

  • Experience with agile development methodology

  • Experience with developer tools like git, Maven, and Eclipse IDE

  • Good grasp of relational databases and SQL
