Amazon Sr. Vendor Manager, Geospatial in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Amazon’s Geospatial team is looking for a Vendor Manager, a pivotal role where our vision is to provide the best mapping solution for logistics with focus on a safe, efficient and frictionless delivery experience. We work with a portfolio of map vendors to enrich our maps with attributes important to transporters, as well as hardware vendors for strategic projects.

As a vendor manager, you will be a passionate advocate for our transporters, possess strong negotiation and analytical skills, together with proven commercial knowledge and experience. The ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task is a must, together with excellent project management skills and laser sharp attention to detail. The Vendor Manager must also be an effective communicator, working with some of Amazon's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for logistics and a high level of flexibility and commitment. We are seeking a tenured Vendor Manager with growth potential.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

  • MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
