T-Mobile Sr Technology Sourcing Manager in Bellevue, Washington
This is a key role within our growing Networks category in procurement organization. As a Senior Sourcing Manager for Radio Access Network (RAN), you will build and maintain relationships for T-Mobile with RAN Suppliers. Owns and manages commercial terms and contracts with suppliers. You will be responsible for sourcing Products and Services with OEMs or solution vendors in one or multiple domains across Macro cells, Passive RAN Equipment, Small Cells, Enterprise Networks and their evolution that has significant impact to one of the biggest mobile networks in the world. As part of a team, you will be working on key projects including the 5G rollout and maximizing TMUS spectrum assets.
What you’ll do in your role.
The role involves developing and maintaining effective relationships with Network Engineering, Sourcing colleagues, Procurement leaders and other business owners to identify opportunities and agree upon category tactics to maximize value. Negotiates multi-million-dollar contracts, evaluating suppliers, defining requirements, and maintaining supplier relations through business meetings and reviews. You also from time to time develop strategy and help senior leadership in negotiating strategic sourcing in this category driving huge savings for the company.
Monitor and sharpen industry category knowledge on regular basis and help enforcement of the category strategy and activities relevant to wireless networks. Provide ideas for process improvements and key transformation programs.
Develop strong understanding of Supplier landscape in assigned sub-category and conduct detailed market analysis to fully leverage procurement decisions in assigned portfolio Lead RFx and other sourcing activities related to assigned sourcing domain
The experience you’ll bring.
7+ years of experience in Engineering role OR Sourcing in RAN deployment and RF optimization
Three years’ experience managing vendors in services and negotiating big contracts
Dynamic, Self-directed and comfortable with building and maintaining good working relationship with stakeholders within and external to the organization
Good knowledge/experience of radio access hardware, Small Cells and associated software/supporting technologies including evolution
Good knowledge/experience of Antennas and passive RAN equipment and deployment
Should be highly proficient in MS Excel and tools for creating cost analysis and presentations
Develop strong understanding of Supplier landscape in assigned sub-category and conduct detailed market analysis to fully leverage procurement decisions in assigned portfolio
Lead RFx and other sourcing activities related to assigned sourcing domain
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology or equivalent experience.
Sound and proven negotiation skills
Master’s degree in Business Administration/Engineering is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
High School Diploma or GED
