Amazon Sr. Technical Program Manager, Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Are you motivated to drive significant packaging waste reduction efforts across Amazon’s global organization? Amazon's Pack Innovation team is looking for an experienced, driven, and analytical Sr. Technical Program Manager with outstanding leadership skills to lead a critical component of Amazon's Climate Pledge. Pack Innovation sets the global, multi-year strategic packaging vision to drive waste and cost reduction and contribute directly to Amazon’s Climate Pledge goals. Our products are public facing and provide a unique opportunity to interact with end customers on every order.

In this role you will both think big and execute, developing and executing processes and mechanisms to expand Amazon’s Frustration Free Packaging programs among Selling Partners, advancing ready-to-ship and recyclable solutions to delight customers and improve operational efficiency and work across Automation, Finance, Data Science, Operations and Selling Partners organizations. You will be successful in this role if you (1) are passionate about driving out waste in operational processes and supply chains, (2) can develop data-based insights and turn them into actionable workplans, and (3) collaborate across multi-functional teams to execute with excellence. You will drive measurable increases in adoption of ecommerce-friendly packaging and strive to deeply understand our selling partners’ and customers' experience, monitor and react to their needs and feedback, and use that knowledge to define and create new ways to grow impact over time.

A successful candidate excels in both strategic thinking and tactical execution, is comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in driving large-scale changes. This individual should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with fast delivery time and rapid iteration. You will have high ownership of your work as proven by a track record of working in a cross-functional capacity and driving projects to their completion while delivering operational excellence. You are detail-oriented, agile, with strong time management, communication, and project management skills, and have experience working across Amazon’s Supply Chain. You anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs when necessary. Keys to success include strong motivation to dive deep into the data to uncover root causes and solving problems independently. Most importantly, your work will directly impact the shopping and delivery experience of millions of customers globally by improving the selection of lower waste products for our customers.

Key job responsibilities
