Amazon Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Global Procurement Operations Reusables Team (GPORT) in Bellevue, Washington

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager for Reusables, you will be responsible for conducting a global strategic vision for providing sustainable reusable support of key indirect supply chain non-inventory processes to our internal customers across Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF) and beyond.

The person in this role will implement and manage major capstone portfolios for the group – creating structure and ownership to attain maximum supply assurance, quality, and manage change for a circular economy of reusable items.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sr. Supply Chain Manager, you will own the communication, coordination, and execution of long-term, multi-year program vision for reusables' ecosystems across North America and beyond. You will provide ownership and act as a catalyst for change, evangelist and entrepreneur for the global team.

You will be responsible for assuring program success and evolving existing programs to continue to be relevant to internal customers and creating new ones from scratch as a startup manager, if required.

Additional responsibilities:

o Negotiate, procure, and push for existing programs and evolve them to the next level.

o Design and model the most cost-effective method of the circular loop that maintains reusable assets in constant flow across the network.

o Drive cross functional strategic initiatives to continuously improve overall customer experience and continuity of supplies

o Work cross functionally to identify and build best practices and process improvements, while also supporting new strategic initiatives and business opportunities for the broader organization.

o Build business reviews that clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders.

o Work with the Senior Manager to lead projects from initial development to implementation that will streamline processes to drive operational improvements.

o Create quality analyses on a day-to-day basis.

o Create buy-in for the vision with key internal partners.

About the team

Our mission and purpose: Build, implement, and sustain global solutions for Reusable assets in support of Amazon Operations. We deliver sustainability, maximize productivity, and minimize cost.

GPORT is a team spread across multiple different time zones with multiple different and dynamic forces acting through it, with it, and across it.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of program or project management experience

  • 8+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Experience being responsible/leading large and complex negotiations

  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
