Your Role at Baxter This is where your expertise helps people You will use your skills and experience to resolve difficult problems involving design for manufacturability, design transfer and sustaining engineering. This role involves planning, scheduling, and leading project assignments in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Your Team As a Principal Engineer at Baxter, you will be part of a collaborative engineering team that is experienced in manufacturing engineering, specifically, medical device manufacturing. What You'll be doing With minimal guidance, you will schedule and direct teams through the planning and execution of smaller projects or defined pieces of larger projects. This includes constructing detailed, accurate project schedules and interacting with development groups and technical support groups. You will work to devise innovative approaches to sophisticated problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles. You'll display a proven understanding of theories and practices used by other teams outside of your primary area of expertise. You will effectively operate within and will facilitate cooperation among cross-functional teams. You will work to provide solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implications. You will design, implement, troubleshoot and/or improve mechanical and electromechanical test fixturing / assembly fixturing on your own or in partnership with development and quality teams What you'll bring Bachelor of Science in an Engineering subject area or related fields. 10+ years of related engineering experience. Ability to articulate and substantiate persuasive arguments, both orally and in writing, to influence management's decision-making process and implement preferred courses of action with minimal external support. Ability to work in the fast paced environment. Baxter is committed to supporting the need for flexibility in the workplace. We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $120,000 to $165,000 and also includes an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position
