The successful candidate for this position must be located in Overland Park, KS or Bellevue, WA * Job Overview The Sr. Bid Manager - Quality & Storytelling plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, persuasive, and customer-centric responses to RFx submissions. This individual serves as the final checkpoint to review and refine the proposal package, analyzing its compliance, narrative strength, visual design, and alignment with buyer psychology. They will collaborate closely with bid managers and account teams and provide actionable feedback to elevate the proposal's overall impact. Comprehensive Review & Feedback Review proposals 3+ days prior to submission deadlines with a focus on persuasive narrative and storytelling, visual appeal and graphics quality, and alignment with buyer behavior principles. Compliance with RFx requirements and client expectations. Overall coherence, clarity, and professionalism. 2. Buyer-Centric Perspective Evaluate proposals from the buyer's point of view, assessing whether the response clearly addresses pain points and needs, highlights value propositions effectively, and establishes credibility and differentiation from competitors. 3. Collaboration & Feedback Delivery Collaborate with bid managers, writers, and designers to provide detailed and actionable feedback. Ensure all revisions are implemented effectively, enhancing the final deliverable. 4. Quality Assurance Use checklists and quality control frameworks to ensure compliance with internal standards, client requirements, and RFx guidelines. Identify potential risks related to compliance or incomplete responses and work with teams to mitigate them. 5. Process Improvement Identify recurring areas for improvement in proposals and share insights with the broader team. Recommend best practices for persuasive writing, visual storytelling, and buyer-focused design. Key Skills & Competencies: Proposal Development Expertise - strong understanding of RFx processes, persuasive proposal writing, and proposal compliance. Capable of managing multiple reviews simultaneously and adhering to strict deadlines. Buyer Behavior Insight - knowledge of buyer decision-making psychology, storytelling principles, and impactful narrative techniques. Attention to Detail - exceptional ability to spot inconsistencies, errors, or weaknesses in content and design and to proactively identify gaps and suggestions for improvement. Visual Design Acumen - ability to assess graphic elements for professionalism, clarity, and visual impact. Communication Skills - ability to deliver constructive feedback diplomatically while fostering collaboration.
