Amazon Sr. Product Manager - Tech, SCOT-Global Sourcing in Bellevue, Washington

Description

The Global Sourcing team within Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) is looking for a thought leader with a background in product innovation and analytics ready to take the lead for building products. The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for building out a vendor experience and the required logistics infrastructure required to optimize the acquisition and distribution of goods that delight our customers worldwide.

Key job responsibilities

As a senior product manager, you will be responsible for

  • Understanding where the innovations are happening and how you can improve our systems to cover as many products and as much demand as possible

  • Communicate and earn trust with our stakeholders in Retail, Private brands & our downstream systems

  • Establishing the product’s goals and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success

  • Defining product requirements based on an intimate knowledge of the customers, import business and supply chain processes

*Own the product roadmap and feature priorities, and engineering team(s) roadmap

A day in the life

A Global Sourcing product manager never has the same day twice. However, they frequently find themselves dreaming of new ways to disrupt the import process. This product manager dreams most often about innovative global ordering and offer management constructs, then inspires engineers and stakeholders into turning those dreams into product realities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
