Amazon Sr. Product Manager, DSP Accountability in Bellevue, Washington

As the Sr. Product Manager for Delivery Service Partner (DSP) mechanisms, you will own our accountability mechanisms and drive change in a dynamic business environment across North America. In this role, you will proactively find and solve for gaps in our metrics and processes, create closed loop mechanisms, and reduce defects. You will analyze customer anecdotes, escalations, and edge cases to improve our metric calculations and close gaps. You will look around corners to identify future risk and take steps to mitigate. You will identify opportunities, establish mitigation processes, respond to customer escalations, and work with cross-functional partners to communicate issues and progress. Good judgement, excellent analytics competency, and writing skills are essential.

We are looking for a motivated product management professional to roll up their sleeves to deep dive and analyze data, build and execute the roadmap, and engage business partners to drive solutions. The successful candidate for this role is analytically minded and insatiably curious. They should have a demonstrated history of finding solutions, even in the face of environmental, legal, and technical challenges. We seek someone has the ability to dive deep into data from our partners and across systems, quickly derive patterns and assumptions, and communicate findings to stakeholders. You translate findings and large sets of data into easily to understand problems and solutions. You must be proactive in removing roadblocks, always looking for ways to innovate and operate more efficiently, and be able to handle multiple competing priorities. You will need to work in a highly collaborative environment and lead and motivate teams across organizational boundaries. In this role, you will be expected to analyze and question data, proactively identify edge cases and knowledge gaps, and drive initiatives that mitigate and disrupt edge cases while ensuring no interruption to the broader program and experience.

This role requires relocation to Bellevue, WA.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager to help build and lead the Analytics function. Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead development of the analytics and accountability program long term strategy and roadmap.

• Root cause opportunities and extract insights using a data driven approach.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver world-class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible while maintaining a strong customer focus.

• Basic understanding of how to apply advanced analytics and give guidance to build more technical models.

• Develop metrics and reporting to reduce edge cases, improve efficiency, shorten time to detect bad actors, and effectively manage accountability mechanisms.

• Develop measurable benchmarks and reporting to evaluate team direction and progress.

• Work with Business Analytics and Tech team members to articulate and prioritize feature needs for analytics and reporting.

• Partner with cross-functional teams across Amazon for collaboration to improve the customer experience.

• Ability to influence rather than authority to build trust across the organization.

• Create, maintain, and disseminate program information confidently and on a regular basis to Amazon senior executives, senior leadership teams, and key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
