Amazon’s Same Day network covers 75% of Prime demand coverage is US marketplace with more than 85% of orders shipped as fast as 5 hours. On the Delivery Experience team, aligned to Get Fast and Get Fit focus and backed by a Go Big plan, we are constantly innovating in expanding our Same Day network through dedicated buildings, delivery stations and fulfilment centers in both urban and rural metros in US.

To drive that expansion, we are looking for a customer-obsessed, entrepreneurial and analytical product leader to join our Speed Expansion team. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence teams across organizations in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy. It requires a high-level of ownership over the end-to-end process, the ability to think outside of the box, willingness to disrupt the current processes to create a new process, the ability to design sustainable solutions and influence stakeholders. This role requires scoping large ambitious products, establishing plan of records, managing expansion timelines, driving operational health and business performance as well as communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. Robust understanding of fulfillment operations including under-the-roof and on-the-road processes, inventory flows, constrained FC assets (capacity and labor) and quality of delivery will be added bonus.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop product vision and build product roadmap in coordination with several teams. Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

• Think big about the needs of our customer and drive innovative products and solutions from end-to-end that will delight the customer

• Approach complex business problems, aligning divergent stakeholder teams to a common plan

• Partner with cross functional teams to drive innovative features that are demonstrably impactful in improving same day shopping experience of the customer.

• Use high judgement to make critical tradeoffs, assess benefit and impact of new features and deliver without compromising long-term thinking and customer experience.

• Passionately advocate for the customer, integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making.

• Demonstrate the ability to operate in fast-paced environment, manage multiple partner relationships and projects, including work prioritization, planning and delivery.

A day in the life

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of the overall vision, short and long-term strategy and expansion roadmap for Amazon’s Same Day programs. You are results oriented and have thrived and succeeded in growing a new business in a highly ambiguous environment. You know how to be scrappy but operate as part of a larger team and business. The role requires innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and business focus. You will need to develop new processes, leveraging the best and creating the rest. High judgement, ability to influence, analytical ability, exceptional communication skills and leadership are essential to success in this role. You love diving deep and using data to identify opportunities and guide improvements. Overall, you will interact closely with internal and external teams to deliver business results and drive customer benefits. You are someone who is willing to roll up your sleeves. Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Knowledge of key customer experience metrics and methodology (e.g., NPS)

  • 5+ years of supply chain or logistics experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Sound business judgment and strong analytical thinking skills as well as a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior leaders

  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools including Microsoft Excel, SQL and statistical software

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously

  • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where tactical and strategic initiatives are driven in parallel

  • MBA with a quantitative focus, or advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering

  • Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
