Description

Reverse Logistics (ReLo) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the successful implementation and widespread adoption of the ReLo’s continuous improvement (CI) program. This role will oversee and guide multiple continuous improvement initiatives, aiming to build a culture of excellence, develop employee capabilities, and deliver measurable business results using Lean Six Sigma and other CI methodologies.

As a practitioner of these methodologies and a catalyst for organizational transformation, the successful candidate will work to break down silos, challenge the status quo, and empower cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in earning trust, taking ownership, insisting on high standards, driving continuous improvement, managing stakeholders, fostering innovation, and simplifying complex processes.

Key job responsibilities

• Ability to travel 50%

• Establish the governance, processes, and infrastructure to effectively manage the CI program, including training curriculum, Big Bets, and site led CI initiatives.

• Serve as the subject matter expert on Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and techniques.

• Mentor and coach Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Green Belts in the organization.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by empowering employees at all levels to identify and solve problems, and by celebrating successes and sharing lessons learned.

• Develop and maintain a robust Lean Six Sigma project pipeline to drive continuous improvements.

• Analyze and map existing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement (VSM).

• Utilize advanced data analysis and statistical tools to measure process performance and drive data-driven decision-making.

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and communicate the vision for operational excellence.

• Integrate CI metrics and behaviors into the company's performance management system to drive sustained adoption and accountability.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to break down silos, promote shared ownership, and facilitate the implementation of CI initiatives.

• Analyze program data and outcomes to continuously refine the CI strategy, roadmap, and resource allocation.

A day in the life

A typical day for the SCALE CI Sr. Program Manager involves coaching operations and support team leaders through Kaizens, Value Stream Maps, DMAIC projects, or ReLo’s Big Bets program. SCALE's CI vision is to create a culture of excellence where continuous improvement is the standard way of working, empowering all employees to relentlessly enhance value for their customers. To that end, the CI Sr. PM may be creating or facilitating in-person training sessions, planning or facilitating Value Stream Mapping workshops and Kaizen events, while also virtually mentoring multiple operations-led continuous improvement projects via the project management tool Asana.

About the team

The ReLo SCALE team's vision is to build upon the virtuous cycle of standardization, continuous improvement, and change management across the ReLo network. Our standardization program provides a foundation for consistent processes, enabling reduced variation, improved safety and quality, faster change implementation, and continuous improvement. Identified improvements are formalized through the Change Management Program, which ensures thorough vetting and successful implementation (Deliver team) of all site and network changes while gaining director alignment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience working cross functionally with non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
