Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Manager to build-out and oversee robust quality assurance processes for newly constructed delivery stations across AMZL, AMXL, and RSR business units. This role is crucial in ensuring facilities meet operational standards and specifications while maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the construction and start-up execution phases before deployment. The Project Quality Assurance Sr. Manager will work alongside key internal and external stakeholders to evaluate infrastructure project launch readiness, influence swift resolution of identified issues, manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining the highest level of attention to detail, coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership team.

The Project Quality Assurance Sr. Manager will leverage existing audit mechanisms like Operational Readiness Testing (O.R.T.), Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Commissioning’s and Base Building Commissioning’s, as well as entirely new, more extensive & customer-focused audits, to ensure a world class delivery station is vertically launched and turned over to Operations in a way that enables the success of in-station operations leadership.

This position offers an opportunity to play a vital role in elevating the quality standards across our delivery station network while working with world-class facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to drive quality excellence across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

•Create & conduct comprehensive quality audits of newly constructed delivery stations across the last mile business units (AMZL, AMXL & RSR).

• Evaluate material handling equipment performance and installation against specifications.

• Verify compliance with building design plans and operational requirements.

• Assess facility readiness across common areas such as on-site associate & driver parking lots, breakrooms, restrooms, stand-up areas and numerous other amenity areas.

• Document findings and create detailed reports for stakeholders.

• Partner with construction & start-up teams to drive quick resolution to identified issues.

• Develop and maintain quality control checklists and standards.

• Track and analyze trends in building quality and construction and start-up execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of team management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • Experience reading and interpreting construction documents, design documents and building attributes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • MBA

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • PMP certificate

  • Six Sigma certification or similar quality control/assurance credential

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
