Position summary T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Engineers, Software located in Bellevue, WA will design and develop internal and external business systems/applications, systems interfaces, databases, reporting, or business intelligence systems, as required to deliver new systems functionality supporting corporate business objectives. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead moderately complex software projects and work with Sr. Manager, Sr. Developer, and Business System Analysts to ensure timely delivery of the project. Translate business and functional requirements into documented technical specifications. Utilize development skills to build (code) and unit test new software systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results. Develop application support documentation as required by the application support teams for acceptance of systems changes into production. Build and unit test production deployment packages and implementation plan for scheduled systems enhancements. Identify and resolve technical issues/conflicts within the project team. Review (walkthrough) technical specifications and program code with other members of the technical team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality, and limitations of systems/applications to team and development lead. Utilize departmental Systems Development Lifecycle Methodology as a guide for development activities. Apply project management methodology/discipline including Agile Methodology. Provide on-call and after-hours support as required for production releases. Contribute to and work to meet project schedules by providing accurate estimates of effort required for development deliverables, by providing updates on project progress to development and project management, and by escalating issues that might affect project success to the management. Collaborate and partner with other teams including Enterprise Testing, Release Planning and Management, Business Systems Analysis, Project Management, and Application Support on the successful delivery of systems enhancements. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Skill requirements: (1) Using Microsoft SQL Server including SSIS and SSRS to extract out of the various transactional systems and flat files, transform, and load to where data can be analyzed and reported on. (2) Conducting .NET programming using C# asp.net, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. (3) Using technologies including Dynatrace and Splunk to identify software security and performance issues and providing appropriate fixes. (4) Using Atlassian technologies including JIRA and Bamboo to create CICD pipelines for better software deliveries and standards. (5) Using Web Services protocols including REST, SOAP and API design for extensibility and portability.
