The SSRE team is a fast-moving product group with an ambitious mission of making the SaaS ecosystem many times more reliable & performant through proactive detection and mitigation of issues. We’re highly data driven and employ AI and other tools to thoroughly understand and improve our systems.
You’ll be responsible for leading key efforts that ensure Oracle’s environments and systems are reliable, resilient, performant, scalable, and operable. The role requires a motivated and seasoned individual with excellent communication skills and an attention to detail.

5 years of industry experience in data science or related roles
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, mathematical or machine learning related disciplines, OR equivalent industry experience (advanced degrees preferred)
Experience in building reporting
Deep understanding of statistics and/or applied math as basis for choosing techniques & experiments
Solid understanding of probability, statistics, machine learning, data science
Expertise in data correlation/feature analysis, analysis of machine learning models, and optimizing models for accuracy
Proficiency in transforming and cleaning data & working across multiple models
Experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch and deep learning models
Experience working with Big Data and Cloud technologies
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.
Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.
