Job DescriptionSenior Corporate Counsel, Litigation is a key member of T-Mobile's legal organization, working on novel and complex business and legal issues and designing case strategy to deliver on T-Mobile's Un-carrier commitment. This attorney will manage consumer-oriented litigation matters and regulatory inquiries touching on a wide array of subject matter areas, including privacy, data security, marketing, advertising, and consumer protection, along with a variety of commercial, dealer, and vendor disputes. And with a 100% score on the Disability Equality Index, our diversity across gender, race and ideas drives us forward.ResponsibilitiesCase management, including selection and management of outside counsel, setting and managing litigation budgets, preparing pleadings, briefs, and other filings, developing and implementing case and settlement strategy, managing discovery, and preparing matters for trial.Responding to regulatory inquiries for the company.Advising internal clients and business executives on legal and business risks.Partnering with colleagues and business leaders to align legal strategy with business goals and objectives.Monitoring new developments and emerging issues in privacy and consumer protection law and assessing related legal risks.Driving departmental initiatives to achieve team goals, drive efficiencies, and better serve the evolving needs of the business.QualificationsJ.D. or equivalent from an accredited law school, and a member in good standing of a relevant state bar.At least 8 years of experience handling complex, large-scale consumer or commercial litigation, including class action litigation, at a law firm or as in-house counsel.Exceptional legal writing skills, including drafting and editing complex legal arguments, and outstanding attention to detail.Excellent legal, business, and practical judgment.Prior in-house experience preferred, but not required.Privacy and data security experience preferred, but not required.Personal CharacteristicsThe successful candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:Demonstrated ability to articulate, evaluate, and weigh business and legal risks to deliver practical advice and achieve successful outcomes.Ability to effectively manage and prioritize competing demands and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with other legal and business professionals to deliver outstanding results in an efficient manner.Strong, independent judgment and decision making abilities.Excellent communications skills.Customer focus and a bias for action.Minimum QualificationsJD from accredited law schoolLegal authorization to work in the USAbility to pass background checkT-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work.
