In your role as the Sr Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic planning support by organizing, directing and assisting in the management of the portfolio operations that drive goals and objectives of the ETS Supply Chain & Digital Financial Services organization. The function includes aggregating key business data, supporting the VP / SVP leadership in Portfolio Planning and Operations Tracking including preparation of Executive Portfolio Summary, CIO/SVP Quarterly Business Reviews, preparing stakeholder communications, maintaining technology roadmaps, business continuity planning and risk management across domains, reporting key performance metrics / transformation OKRs and working with cross-functional teams to support a best-in-class organization. The role will also be a liaison with the centralized Program Joint Portfolio team representing demand and capacity outlook for the combined SC & DFS organization in quarterly big-room (BRP) planning sessions, audit and validation of project health in various centralized Program governance forums.

The Sr Business Operations Manager, Portfolio serves a critical liaison to enterprise-wide initiatives focused on enhancing cross functional alignment and operational efficiencies through program support including data collection, analysis, problem and solutions identification, root cause remediation, communications, change management and presentation to upper management. Identify opportunities and influence leaders to act to shape the strategic direction of the organization

What you’ll do in your role.

  • Strategy

  • Supports a Senior Vice President / Vice President, interfacing with their leadership teams to drive multiple programs, or work efforts, to completion and overall success as defined by the business case or leader’s expectations.

  • Provides strategic guidance by identifying, evaluating and analyzing critical priorities by partnering with leaders across multiple organizations.

  • Performs a leading role on diverse efforts and leads the implementation where applicable.

  • Acts as a conduit of current information and feedback between Senior Vice President / Vice President and department leaders by planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals from beginning to end.

  • Leads productive strategic discussions, leadership meetings and planning sessions to ensure the purpose and objectives are met.

  • ▪ Serves as a consulting and subject matter expert on department-wide assignments by adding value and identifying gaps to drive a better outcome through knowledge and experiences

  • Proactively anticipates obstacles or issues and then identifies and proposes solutions while understanding their financial impact on the business and experience for our customers and/or employees.

  • Reviews and gives feedback on executive-level (SLT) presentations and presents complex information from multiple teams or departments.

  • Directs data analysis strategy to analyze multifaceted data from various sources and uses its interpretation to drive operational excellence.

  • Drives metric methodology and analyze results.

  • Serve as proxy for the any leader in key critical business meetings/projects in relation to operational issues, projects, team progress and risk-related issues for their area.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant Product Management, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or System Analyst experience in an agile software product development environment.

  • 1+ years’ experience in a leadership role.

  • Proven success in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies.

  • Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.

  • Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.

  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of all facets of lifecycle and technology operations.

  • Collaboratively and objectively assesses benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drives alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders.

  • Ability to leverage business knowledge, sound judgement, and resourcefulness to determine appropriate course of action in challenging, ambiguous situations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with and present ideas to senior leadership. Provides key input to facilitate decision-making process.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience required.

  • Preferred: Master’s Degree.

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work.
