SCOT - Direct Fulfillment (a.k.a dropship) allows Amazon to fulfill customer orders directly from our vendor’s warehouse, and is one of the fastest growing supply channels at Amazon. Through Direct Fulfillment, we can enable broad in-stock product selection for Amazon’s customers, at the quality and speed of delivery they have come to expect. We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager, to drive new vendor and new selection onboarding to the Direct Fulfillment platform; innovate, scale, and accelerate the vendor conversion and onboarding processes, nurture vendors to support their growth with Amazon DF, and build out materials to continuously educate the vendor community.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, the Direct Fulfillment Sr. Business Development Manager will:

  • Create & articulate value propositions around Amazon’s Direct Fulfillment offerings for vendors and internal stakeholders to grow the selections available to customers through the DF channel

  • Develop and own a pipeline of potential Direct Fulfillment vendors, support vendors through the onboarding process from initial contact to launch

  • Identify and nurture strategies to grow the Direct Fulfillment program. Test new ideas, and scale the successful ones. Own the end to end execution.

  • Use data to identify and prioritize opportunities to grow Direct Fulfillment business, develop processes and mechanisms that drive efficiency and scale

  • Develop and own business performance metrics, goals, and KPIs to measure the results of actions. Partner with key stakeholders in Retail, Operations, Product, Tech, and Data Engineering to drive improvement in DF selection, in stock rate, and vendor experience. Own the communication to senior leadership on the performance towards goals, progress on key initiatives, learnings, and opportunities in the business development space.

  • Be the business development voice in roadmap and product development discussions. Drive cross-functional collaboration for the launch of products and feature enhancements that fuel business growth. Partner with various internal teams to increase cross-team collaboration and alignment, drive continuous improvement in DF selection availability, and customer, vendor experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements

  • Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business

  • Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

  • Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
