The purpose of the Ops AI Compliance team is to manage Ops compliance with rapidly changing global AI regulations, such as the EU AI Act. This candidate acts as a AI compliance subject-matter expert, specifically focusing on establishing and maintaining an AI conformity assessment program.

Key job responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Ops AI conformity assessment program to meet applicable regulatory obligations.

  • Provide support to Ops business partners in completion of AI conformity assessments.

  • Develop solutions to manage AI conformity assessment program workflows and processes.

  • Identify, gather, track, and report assessment metrics to Ops leadership.

  • Manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years in AI Compliance or a related field

  • Experience developing and maintaining regulatory documentation

  • Former role in AI compliance with knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements and standards

  • 3+ years leading projects with tight deadlines

  • Proven knowledge of domestic and global AI regulations and applying them in a complex technological environment

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

  • Must be a good human that enjoys being part of a fun team

Preferred Qualifications

  • IAPP AI Governance Professional Certification (AIGP)

  • Experience managing conformity assessments

  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
