Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer in Bellevue, Washington

The Azure Machine Learning (AML) vision is to democratize Machine Learning technology and make it readily available to every enterprise, developer, and data scientist alike.

A fundamental building block of AML is “Pipelines”; the ability to configure workflows that prep, train, validate, package, and deploy Machine Learning models at scale over heterogeneous compute frameworks. Learn more about AML Pipelines here ( .

AML Pipelines adoption is growing across Microsoft and Azure customers, and we are looking for a Software Engineer to help design, build, and operate Microsoft’s Machine Learning platform at scale.



  • Design and implement Azure Machine Learning microservices, components, and features.

  • Respond to customer scenarios and feedback to empower them in running run complex ML training graphs over heterogeneous compute platforms.

  • Participate in our Dev Ops lifecycle as a champion of service quality, reliability, and outcomes for AML customers.


Basic Qualification:

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in C#, Java, Python, C++ or equivalent languages

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other related fields

Preferred Qualification:

  • Proven problem solving, design, coding and debugging skills from prior work on distributed systems, API design and engineering for scale

  • Experience applying Machine Learning or statistical data analysis to petabyte-scale data

  • Experience with Azure or other cloud technologies

  • Experience making OSS contributions

  • Familiarity with modern frontend development and HTML, React, TypeScript or Node.js

  • Masters in computer science (or related field)
