Robinhood Markets, Inc. Software Engineer (SYSWWA) in Bellevue, Washington
Design, engineer, and maintain services, tools, and reusable modules and frameworks to automate provisioning of cloud infrastructure. Provide engineering teams with best practices and standards on how to deploy to and consume public cloud services. Build, test, and release product-facing and operational-facing features with stringent correctness, scalability, and compliance requirements. Combine software and systems knowledge to engineer high-volume distributed systems in a reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant manner. Debug and monitor software systems for performance and reliability, as well as rewrite and modify software systems to address deficiencies or errors that arise in their operation. Design and write software and software test suites. Utilize languages and frameworks such as Python/Django and Go on a day-to-day basis to drive solutions development. Design solutions to fix scalability problems and then implement them. Test software systems for scalability and performance problems to identify specific causes, as well as analyze software systems to identify potential changes to improve scalability and performance. Design software systems in order to achieve specific goals, as well as modify and write software documentation in order to coordinate efforts across backend engineers, frontend engineers, and data scientists. Create monitoring systems to track the health of our systems. Continually optimize systems and workflows by improving infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and observability. Contribute to open-source software projects. Design large scale systems within the team, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability. Telecommuting permitted. Salary Range: $142,235 - $162,235 per year. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent), plus six months of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation. Job Location: 10400 NE 4th St. Floor 21, Bellevue, WA 98004 (King County) Position requires experience or education in the following skills: 1. Terraform; 2. AWS Tech Stack (SCP, VPC, Networks, Subnets, Compute); 3. Python and Go; and 4. Build Stack, Bazel, Buildkite, Jenkin.
