Meta Software Engineer, Pathways Program in Bellevue, Washington

Summary:

Meta is seeking talented full-stack Software Engineers who are interested in an opportunity to join our one-year Software Engineering Pathways Program, helping us build applications & systems that will scale the company and make the world more open and connected. The Program is designed to offer experienced engineers a one-year rotation through different Meta engineering projects to develop engineering skills and gain meaningful experiences for the rest of their career. At the end of the program, successful participants will be invited to apply for a full-time position at the company.Because we build products to connect the world, Meta strives to have Computer Scientists and Software Engineers from a broad range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives that understand and reflect the communities we serve. The Software Engineering Pathways Program is open to all qualified candidates. Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Pathways Program Responsibilities:

  1. Full-stack product, systems, and mobile development with a variety of languages such as C++, Java, PHP, JavaScript, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, etc.

  2. Work closely with product management and UX design teams to define and refine research specifications

  3. Design and develop front-end interfaces, underlying APIs, and backend systems across a number of programming languages with focus on JavaScript, React and PHP (Hack)

  4. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or system

  5. Master Meta’s development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity

  6. Communication skills: consistently seek out and give feedback

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years experience building software solutions in a corporate or start-up engineering environment, or equivalent, using an industry-standard language (e.g. JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, C++ and/or Java)

  2. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

  3. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Public Compensation:

$56.25/hour to $173,000/year + benefits
