Streamlit is an open source library for building data apps with a vibrant community. It lets you take a data analysis in a notebook or a SQL script and bring it straight to the web as a real, clickable interactive web app. We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager for our Streamlit Open Source team in San Mateo, CA or Bellevue, WA as we scale the team for the next phase of growth. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: 3+ years of experience managing full-stack engineering teams Experience working on a product with a UI (contrast to infra) High level of ownership - Potentially an ex-startup employee or someone who has built products from the ground up High energy - Someone who can be a champion for the Open Source project, has ideas and can be a force of creative energy and initiative Location: Bellevue preferred, San Mateo OK NICE TO HAVE: Familiarity with Python and React, our specific tech stack, but general experience in the frontend ecosystem (Ember, Svelte, Angular) is still great Experience using or building projects like Streamlit (Gradio, Dash, Jupyter, Shiny, Voila, Panel, Anvil, Observable, Bokeh) Experience using or building projects in a related area (Data Science and Analytics, App Dev Frameworks, Interactive Visualization, Python libraries) Experience as an Open Source project maintainer or contributor AS AN ENGINEERING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL: Set the strategic vision for your team and be accountable for team plans and deliverables Drive team projects from idea formulation, through design and implementation collaborating with partner teams Be able to shift resources across areas and projects to achieve execution goals and to respond to lessons from customer and production issues Provide strong technical leadership to the team with a focus on quality, performance, and scale Foster a culture of creativity and innovation while also promoting practical decision-making Grow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse team by participating in all steps of the recruiting process from sourcing to closing Be responsible for the career development of your reports, providing continuous mentorship and coaching The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,750. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
