Job Description

We are the team responsible for the messaging platform of streaming products such as Max and HBO Max. This platform is used to communicate with people across the entire customer lifecycle, from acquisition, to onboarding, engagement, and retention. We enable our product and marketing teams to reach millions of our customers, notifying them about new shows, providing personalized content recommendations, and alerting when there are account issues. As a Software Engineer II on the Messaging Platform team, you will build and manage services that scale to support millions of customers, across a wide range of devices and surfaces. Our services are expected to drive improvements in customer engagement and retention.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to complex architectures and distributed systems, including working with other engineers to help deliver the end solution

  • Be passionate about software engineering with a strong sense of ownership for the code that you and your team write

  • Seek self-improvement and are adaptable to suggestions and feedback

  • Hold yourself and your team to high standards while maintaining friendly, respectful relationships

  • Describe highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a way they can understand

What You’ll Need

● BS degree in Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience

● 3+ years of professional development experience using languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Golang, and C#

● Success in delivering and operating reliable low-latency, services operating in a 24x7 environment

● Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure)

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $99,400.00 - $184,600.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
