Amazon Software Engineer II, DSP Compliance Tech in Bellevue, Washington

Description

As a Software Development Engineer on the DSP Compliance team, you will join a diverse team of really smart and fun loving engineers and build critical services to manage Compliance for DSPs for managing their vehicles (Fleet Management), drivers (active, post-onboarded DAs) and DSP businesses to comply with Amazon standards and local/state/federal regulations. You will help shape the technical foundation and solve complex business and technical problems. It’s no secret that Amazon relies on its technology to deliver millions of packages every day to its customers – on time, with low cost. Our Last Mile technology division builds software solutions that work across our vendors, delivery stations and carriers to optimize both time & cost of getting packages into the hands of our customers.

This remains a fast-growing business, and our technical journey has only started. With rapid expansion into new geographies, unique delivery models for products ranging from Fresh groceries to big-screen TV’s, and growing number of shipments worldwide, we will need innovative solutions to scale our software to meet these opportunities. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
