The Software Development Manager leads the build out, development, and management of a team of developers, who will establish and help in building and maintaining systems, platforms and tools. They rapidly deliver world class software solutions to T-Mobile business customers both internal and external. They build short and long term technical strategy in partnership with internal technology and product partners and work very closely with IT partner teams working on multiple projects. Job Responsibilities: Effectively manages team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations. They monitor and measure work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget. Drives continuous development practice improvements across technical disciplines (e.g., team structure, roles, processes, tooling, security & compliance). Handles technical relationships with assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases. Interviews and hires qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required. Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a computer programming related field Work Experience: 4+ years experience in an Analytics and Business Intelligence development environment. Experience in managing or supervising a team of 8 developers or more. Experience working in large data environments and on large data log aggregation software like Splunk, Open Search, or Elastic Search. Experience with machine learning and AIOps software. Knowledgeable of industry standards for agile development using tools such as Jira and Gitlab. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
